About Harvey Meyer

Harvey Meyer was a woodworker for many years before he started woodturning in 2000. He is known for doing work using the "basket illusion" technique, in which a turned piece is carefully indexed, carved, and painted or dyed to resemble a woven basket. He works in his studio, located in the basement of his home in Dunwoody, Georgia. His work has been featured in "American Woodturner."He's an active member of the Georgia Association of Woodturners, the Atlanta Woodturners Guild, and the American Association of Woodturners.
