22" Taper Lock Handle 22" with collets. Retail Value: $159.95

We really like Stuart Batty's Taper lock handles. They are strong, lightweight, and very comfortable to use. Our customers seem to agree - we have sold thousands of his handles, and they continue to sell. Even though Stuart Batty had to close his production facility, they are so popular we decided to continue production of the handles.

We realize that you might not wish to glue all your tools to a bolster, so we have combined two great ideas; The Robust collet system and the SB handle.

Due to popular demand, handles can now be purchased with or without collets.

If you choose to include collets, you will get a set of 4 with:

3/8" (29/64")

1/2" (33/64")

5/8" (41/64")

3/4" (49/64")

You can also purchase collets individually HERE

Now here are some of the advantages

-ER25 and ER32 collets are available in multiple sizes, we are offering the most popular sizes for woodturning tools.

-The handle being hollow, the tool can project as much or as little as you wish and can be reverse and stored inside the handle

The Stuart Batty handle is comfortable, extremely strong, and absorbs vibration extremely well. It is light and does not conduct heat or cold.

If the collet get stuck a light tap of the end of the handle on the bed of the lathe will get it loose

ER25 Version is available in 8", 12", and 16"

ER32 Version is available in 16" and 22"

The ER25 and ER32 are basically the same concept, but the ER32 collets are larger. ER32 collets can hold as large as 3/4", the largest tool an ER25 will accomodate is roughly 5/8". Please note: ER25 collets will not fit ER32 handles and vice versa.

*Please note, the Stuart Batty Taper-lock Bolsters are not compatible with this version of the handle.
