People change with the times and grow as they go through life, but it seems like their essence remains the same.
Things that change and things that don't, things that move and things that don't move.
With opposing things, a space connecting them is always created, providing depth and meaning.

Eiko Tanaka is a lacquer artist and woodturner based in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is self-taught in everything from wood turning to tool making and lacquer painting using traditional techniques. Eiko has given demonstrations in Colombia, Germany and France, and performed at the Esculen School in 2023. With her unique sensitivity, she creates exquisite designs and works that capture the duality of phenomena.
