Before the fallow time of winter, the seed pod opens and the promise of next year's growth is scattered on the wind.
I try to tell stories with my work—stories of wild places and of our complex relationship with the non-human world. We live in a time when we ask so much of natural systems and don’t seem to give much in return. This makes me acutely aware of the limits of nature’s generosity and the cost of what we ask.
My hope is that my work offers an invitation to pause, to be attuned to beings that are different from us, and to hear their quiet and patient appeals for our care.
