"Constructed of wood, acrylic paint, lacquer and selenite mineral, Moon Glow is a collaboration of disparate materials with like character that take advantage of the behavior of light. Together, with light, they create an overall effect of glow. The paint layers are built up, layer upon layer, to create the illusion of depth and shimmering colors. Light, while not a material per se, is very much an integral part of this piece and is as important to the overall nature of the piece as all the rest of the materials used."

"Formally trained in art, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree. The emphasis of my master’s degree is painting and drawing. I studied museum science and have a strong art history background. Over time, I moved into woodworking, initially focusing on hand-crafting wood furniture. That has evolved into creating art pieces from wood. I now concentrates almost exclusively on wood turning."
