"Segmented Copper Inlaid Bowl is a bowl in which I have attempted to give the turquoise- or jade- like patinaed copper segments a jewel like quality by setting into a very dark wooden surround. These segments are set in the lip of the bowl under the lip of the bowl so that they can float as the wood moves due to changes in humidity, thereby not causing the wood to split."
