"For this theme I wanted to work with a traditional form that has inspired me, and I wanted to deal with a form whose scale suited the size limitations of the POP exhibition. A display for a piece of hardware made perfect sense, and the wing nut is the perfect marriage of a striking form that makes immediate haptic sense to even the least mechanically inclined amongst us. It’s like a handshake with a friendly machine."
