Bill Luce Collaborative Auction

Auction Details

Welcome to the Bill Luce Collaboration auction page. Lots will begin closing at 1PM EDT on Saturday, October 26th.

To learn more about Bill Luce's career and read the story behind the auction, visit http://tiny.cc/LuceAuction .

This unique auction presents pieces by 38 professional artists, each bringing their own touch to an unfinished work left by Bill Luce (1952-2022). Bill Luce was known for his extraordinary skill, his sensitivity to form and the quiet beauty of his bowls, vessels, and sculptures, and each artist was faced with the challenge of expressing their own style in balance or contrast to Bill's.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the artists, and the programs and initiatives of the American Association of Woodturners. We thank Monica Luce for her generosity in donating her husband’s unfinished works. Her interest and faith in this project was invaluable.

The cover piece for this auction is by Bonnie Klein.
